Farmer, climate advocate and entrepreneur Australian Capital Territory

Josh is a young farmer, climate advocate and Worimi Man from the Mid North Coast of NSW. He is passionate advocate for Indigenous people, conservation and the environment and is revolutionising the way we talk about agriculture and Indigenous issues in Australia.

In July 2017, Josh became Manager at PWCs Indigenous Consulting (PIC) in an unprecedented partnership between a group of Indigenous Australians and a global corporation. PIC’s aim is to help create positive change by providing trusted professional services and advice to government, corporate and community clients on Indigenous matters.

Josh was previously the Chair of the NSW Young Farmers and led the NSW Young Farmers’ Council in moving one of the first international agricultural climate change motions at the NSW Farmers Annual Conference in 2015. The motion gained the attraction of Al Gore, who asked Josh to be a part of his Climate Reality Project. Josh’s Climate Reality Project video, entitled ‘Australia’s Young Green Farmers’, was viewed in over 75 countries and by over 100 million people.

Josh was named Australian Geographic Young Conservationist of the Year in 2016 and a 2017 Young Australian of the Year Finalist in the ACT.
