Simon Towle

Executive Director, Climate and Health Alliance Queensland

Simon Towle is executive director of the Climate and Health Alliance – a coalition of health care stakeholders who wish to see the threat to human health from climate change and ecological degradation addressed through prompt policy action.

Simon brings diverse credentials and considerable experience to the position, having previously been the CEO of Gunggandji Aboriginal Corporation; Regional Manager – Cape York Peninsula, for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority; Principal at the Department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships (DATSIP), Project Coordinator for the Sepik Community Landcare Program in Papua New Guinea, and the Director of Conservation, WWF-NZ.

Simon was also previously an Antarctic scientist who studied human impact in the Antarctic environment.
