Amanda Cahill

Amanda Cahill is spearheading the movement for economic change in the energy sector in Australia. As the CEO of the Next Economy, Amanda works with government, industry and community groups to strengthen regional economies by embracing the transition from fossil fuels to a low carbon economy.

She helps people to understand both the positive and negative impacts of changes to the energy sector, the range of solutions already in place to enable communities to take advantage of emerging economic opportunities, and what further planning and investment is needed for future investments into a renewable economy.

Amanda has a PhD in Human Geography from The Australian National University.
